If you have established an appropriate reward for the training sessions, then you should continue to apply this reward system as a positive reinforcement so that your dog understands what the reward means during the training session.

The last thing that you want to do in the training session is to send mixed communication during training. The reason being is that once a dog gets confused it becomes tricky to train her. 

Once you establish a connection with your pooch, you can teach your dog anything!  You have to learn how to adjust your dog's behavior so that your dog recognizes what is appropriate and what is not appropriate in your environment.
